BaaS (Backend as a Service) is a core part of the OneEntry platform that stores and manages content, data, business logic, and integrations with external systems and services.
It enables you to manage your applications within a single system, without relying on fragmented third-party tools (plugins).
With OneEntry BaaS, your team can:
Store and manage all your business data in one place;
Extend and customize business logic within the platform, without relying on external plugins or third-party tools;
Run each project on its own isolated installation with its own database and file storage;
Control how your application works without rebuilding logic;
Integrate with internal and external systems and services (payments, delivery, CRM, ERP, and others) within a single system;
Recover data without a developer with daily backups, plus version history with rollback for any page, block or record.
How it works
The BaaS layer of OneEntry provides a unified backend environment that includes data storage, business logic execution, integrations, and system services.
It combines databases, in-memory storage, message brokers, and microservices with built-in modules such as content management, event processing, notifications, backups, and e-commerce management.
All functionality is exposed via APIs and SDKs, enabling seamless integration with frontend applications and external systems.
The platform includes MCP (Model Context Protocol) support for SDKs, allowing AI agents to fully understand available methods, data structures, and workflows, and directly interact with the backend to build and extend applications.

Security you don’t have to build
Authentication, roles and granular permissions out of the box with no custom authorization layer to build, test and maintain
Content editing permissions can be scoped to specific branches of the content structure, keeping responsibilities separated across teams
Public API access rules can be configured individually for each endpoint
Uploaded files are validated and scanned for malware before being accepted
Passwords are stored as irreversible hashes and cannot be retrieved
Potentially unsafe executable content is removed from submitted and editorial content
Session management is handled by the platform, including secure sign-out and immediate revocation of administrator sessions
API requests are validated against defined schemas, with request rate limiting applied at the network edge
Changes are recorded with the author, timestamp and modified fields for auditability
Daily automated backups and version history with rollback help protect against accidental changes and data loss
Advantages of BaaS for developers
Focus on the product — frontend developers can concentrate on building interfaces and business logic while using the full functionality of the platform.
Fast project launch — a ready server infrastructure allows you to start development without setting up servers or databases.
Security and stability — authentication, roles and granular permissions, session management, file security and audit logging are built into the platform and maintained as part of it, instead of becoming security infrastructure your team has to build and maintain.
Time and resource efficiency — no need to write and maintain backend code, manage servers, or handle DevOps.
Scalability — the system seamlessly scales with increasing load and user base.
Unified API for all digital products — web, mobile applications, mini-apps for social networks and messengers, or intelligent assistants such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and others.
